Four people who tried to enter Maxmûr were not ISIS mercenaries but Bangladeshi refugees.
The group suspected of belonging to ISIS, reported to have infiltrated Maxmûr on Tuesday, and stopped by the KDP Security point, turned out to be a group of people from Bangladesh.
Despite all the warnings, the Iraqi security forces shot at the group after they arrived in Geyare.
One Bangladeshi died and one was injured.
The Bangladeshi group consisted of 4 people. According to the information obtained, the Bangladeshi, whose staying permits had expired, were removed from Hewler.
As it was late at night when they reached the KDP checkpoint, they were warned to stop, however the group did not hear or listen to the warning.
As the four people were moving towards the checkpoint, Iraqi forces suspected that they were ISIS mercenaries and opened fire on them.
Two Bangladeshi escaped fire and reached the KDP checkpoint where the KDP security took them into custody.
