YJA Star guerrillas carry out action in Metina to mark 8 March

YJA Star guerrillas carried out an action in Metina to mark 8 March International Working Women's Day. Two Turkish soldiers were killed, 1 position and 1 grenade launcher were destroyed in the action.

The HPG Press Center released a statement about the YJA Star guerrillas action carried out in Metina to mark 8 March International Working Women's Day.

The statement said: “As part of the Cenga Xabur Revolutionary Campaign, in the Metîna region, on 6 March, at 1 pm, the invaders in the Girê Azad strait were hit with heavy weapons by our YJA Star forces. At least 2 invaders were killed, 1 position and 1 grenade launcher weapon were destroyed. The action targeted the grenade launcher position belonging to the invaders.

This effective action was carried out by our YJA Star forces to mark 8 March, International Working Women's Day.

The invading Turkish state continues its attacks on Medya Defense Areas. The details of the attacks are as follows:

On 4 March, at 2.30 pm, the Çiyayê Reş slopes of the Zap region were bombed by warplanes.

On 5 March, between 8.30 and 9.30 pm, the Martyr Şahin and Kunîşka areas in the Zap region were bombed 4 times by warplanes.

On 6 March, between 7 and 9 pm, Werxelê in Avaşîn region and Çiyayê Reş areas in Zap region were bombed 3 times by warplanes.

On 7 March, between 8.30 and 9.30 pm, the Dola Martyr Özgür area in the Zap region was bombed by helicopters.”
