In a written statement, the European Democratic Kurdish Society Congress (KCDK-E) called for protests against the occupation war of the Turkish state in South Kurdistan and the war threats against Rojava and Northern Syria. The statement warned against the expansion plans of the Turkish state in Kurdistan and called for a common stance by all Kurdish actors against this aspiration of Turkey.
"It is obvious that behind the slogan 'peace corridor' lies a Turkish war concept that is directed against the whole of Kurdistan and the achievements of its population. With this war also the danger of a resurgence of the ISIS in the region is ignited,” said the Kurdish umbrella organization.
The KCDK-E further declared that the decision for protests against the Turkish occupation was taken last weekend at a joint meeting of 34 Kurdish parties and organizations. KCDK-E called for a broad participation in the demonstrations in various European countries, as well as in Australia and Canada.
