The KCDK-E co-presidency said that due to the Covid-19 outbreak Newroz celebrations will be held on a much smaller scale as previously planned.
The KCDK-E said that it did not consider it appropriate to carry out mass celebrations that may prove negative on the health of people.
The statement said: "Preparations for the Newroz celebrations have been completed in all countries, especially in Germany.
We were planning to turn the 2020 Newroz celebrations into historical events, but because of the current situation of pandemic all over the world we have decided to cancel events."
The KCDK-E said it will organise smaller celebrations on 20 and 21 March.
