Today the hearing was held in the trial of Kulp Municipality co-mayors Mehmet Fatih Taş and Fatma Ay, who had been dismissed following an explosion which caused the death of 7 people on 12 September in Beyrok, Kulp.

Among the people tried are Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial branch co-chair Mehmet Abidin Karaman, Kulp Municipality Directorate of Technical Works Şener Aktaş, HDP member Mehmet Emin Ay, Kulp Municipality Council member Yücel Çete, and digger operator Ümit Fidan.

The second hearing of the lawsuit filed at the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court was held on Wednesday.

The court decided to continue the judicial control measure and adjourned the hearing to 17 June.
