A memorial was held in Darmstadt for the 9 Anti-Terrorist Units (YAT) fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who fell as martyrs in the helicopter crash that occurred on 15 March. The event was organized by the Democratic Union Party and the Martyrs' Families Association.

The memorial started with a minute's silence in memory of the martyrs. Members of Feraşîn Baran's (Nejbîr Mehmûd Hemdo) family attended the event and said a few words. Martyr Feraşîn Baran's brother, Hogir Hemdo, said: "We will continue to walk on the path of the martyrs."

The memorial ended with the slogans of “Martyr namirin” and “Bijî Serok Apo”.
