Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee (MYK), Party Assembly (PM), deputies and provincial co-chairs, representatives of the Free Women's Movement (TJA) have held a meeting.

At the meeting, which was held closed to the press at the HDP Provincial Organization building, it was learned that this year the main theme of the Newroz celebrations would be the pressures on the mother tongue, the national unity and the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Newroz celebrations to begin on Wednesday in Amed

The Newroz celebrations will begin tomorrow, 11 March with a press conference in Amed. HDP co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, DTK co-chairs Berdan Öztürk and Leyla Güven, DBP co-chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır and other party representatives in the Kurdistan Alliance Work will attend the press conference at the Demir Hotel in Sur district.

Actions to be carried out after Newroz

The meeting also underlined that one of the main factors in the deepening of the war in the Middle East is the isolation imposed on Öcalan. It was learned that after Newroz, democratic mass actions will be organised demanding the end of isolation.
