Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reported that Akçakale 3rd Border Regiment Command Colonel Yaşar Kaya, who has been coordinating the Turkish attacks was wounded.

According to reports, the Colonel was injured by a sharapnel piece during clashes with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on the first days of the Turkish military offensive seeking to invade North and East Syria.

Kaya was rushed to Akçakale Public Hospital in an armored military ambulance and was taken under treatment. He is report to be having difficulty walking.
