Young people in Stuttgart protest attacks on Nav-Berlin

Young people protested the German police raid on Nav-Berlin and the arson attempt by Turkish fascists. They pointed out that Turkish racists draw strength from the criminalization policies of the German state.

Kurdish youth movements Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwanên Tekoşer (TekoJIN) in Stuttgart protested the criminalization policies of the German state against Kurdish institutions and Kurds. The police carried out a raid on Saturday, while an arson attack by fascists was denounced against Nav Berlin.

A statement made in Kobanê Square on Sunday evening, underlined that the attacks on Nav-Berlin, were not "a coincidence" and added that "the Kurdish association building in Berlin was raided by the police without a search warrant on Saturday. An arson attack took place on Sunday. By legitimizing the attacks on Kurds, the German police continued Turkey’s campaign of destruction in Germany."

The statement pointed out that the arson attempt by Turkish fascists was carried out by drawing strength from the attacks of the German state, and said: "Kurdish activists have been kept in German prisons for years and Kurdish organizations have been forced to close down or have been attacked. We, the Kurdish people and all solidarity forces affiliated with us, express our solidarity with our friends in Berlin today and condemn the attacks of the state and fascism in the strongest possible way."
