The SDF's anti-terrorist unit arrested three ISIS members who were planning an attack on the Islamic Festival of the Sacrifice.
The press center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that an ISIS cell was collapsed in eastern countryside of Raqqa, which was already under surveillance by the SDF since July 16.
The Press Center statement said: "With the support of the International Coalition, anti-terrorist units of the SDF have carried out an operation against an ISIS cell whose activities have been monitored since July 16. During the operation in the eastern part of the Raqqa city, the three-person cell was collapsed. The cell was preparing for an attack on the Islamic Festival of the Sacrifice.
During the arrest also numerous explosive materials could be seized. In addition, a vehicle loaded with explosives was found in the apartment of one of the detainees. The vehicle was destroyed controlled by our units.”
