Member of Internal Security Forces injured in ISIS attack dies

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria released the identity information of a fighter who was martyred on December 28 in an ISIS attack on the Hesekê-Raqqa road.
In a written statement on Wednesday, the Internal Security Forces said: “Our member Xalid El Nasir was injured after responding to an armed attack against the security forces in the Kerema region on the Hesekê-Raqqa road on December 28, 2022. Our companion passed away due to serious injuries he had received.”
The statement added: “Martyr Xalid, who served as a member of the security forces for 5 years, fulfilled all his duties to protect his people and land. He was always self-sacrificing and fulfilled his duties in a national spirit. He was martyred in an attack by ISIS. As the Internal Security Forces, we offer our condolences to our people and Martyr Xalid's family and promise to follow in the footsteps of our honourable martyrs.”
