Local sources report that the Turkish-backed Faylaq al-Sham mercenaries kidnapped 36-year-old Şakir Şêxo from the village of Jalama in Afrin’s Jindires district.
In the village of Badina in Rajo district, 22-year-old Xelîl Mihemed Mistefa was kidnapped on the grounds of having a connection to the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. Mistefa was reportedly abducted by the paramilitary group “Military Police” formed by the occupying Turkish state in the territories it has occupied.
Xelîl Mihemed Mistefa’s brother, Ajar Mistefa, had also been kidnapped by the invaders two months ago. His fate still remains unknown.
On the other hand, the Turkish-affiliated Firqat al-Hamza mercenaries kidnapped five civilians, including a woman and an elderly man, from the village of Qude in Rajo district.
While the aftermath of those abducted is not known, they have been identified as Hisên Mihemed Hemo (75), Selah Menan Şêxo, Şukrî Hisên Bakîr (50), Mihemed Mihemed Heyder, Asya Hisên Mûsa (60).
On Thursday, brothers Mihemed Fayiq Henan (38) and Hisên Hisên Fayiq Henan were kidnapped by Turkish forces in the village of Berbene in Rajo district on Thursday.
Turkey has established a regime of terror and corruption in all the regions it has occupied, particularly in Afrin, which has been invaded since March 2018. Crimes such as kidnapping, execution, torture, looting, forced migration have become rampant in the city, which has become a hotbed for war crimes.
According to what the Human Rights Organization Afrin - Syria documented, more than 8,063 civilians were kidnapped during four years of occupation, the fate of more than a third of them is still unknown, and hundreds of them were released in exchange for a huge ransom.
More than 655 civilians lost their lives, including 498 people who were killed as a result of the Turkish bombing, 90 lost their lives under torture, and more than 696 were wounded as a result of the Turkish bombing, including 303 children and 213 women.
More than 333.900 olive trees and various forest trees have been cut down, and more than a third of the area designated for cultivation, estimated at more than 11 thousand hectares, has been burned since the occupation of Afrin.
