The remains of HPG guerrilla Mahsum Aslan, who fell a martyr as a result of an air attack carried out by the invading Turkish state in Dersim's Kırmızı Dağ in June 2018, were sent to the Ergani Police Department by the Erzincan Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by post.

The DNA test taken three years ago by the family of HPG guerrilla Mahsum Aslan was finalized a month ago. After the DNA result came out, the family applied to the prosecutor's office to retrieve the remains of their son. However, the authorities stated that they would send them themselves.

According to Jinnews, on 2 August, the Ergani Police Department called the Aslan family and asked them to come and collect the remains. Thereupon, the family went to the Ergani Police Department and learned that the remains were sent there via post.

On the other hand, fingerprints were taken from all family members, including children, at the police station. After the family was given the remains, they wanted to bury them in a shroud along with the package. The family eventually buried the remains in the village of Yayvantepe in Ergani on the same 2 August.

The body of HPG guerrilla Agit Ipek, who fell a martyr following clashes that erupted on 23 May 2017, on the Xelasor hill in the center of Dersim, was also sent on 10 April via post.
