Three Turkish soldiers killed in action by YJA Star in Avaşin

HPG Press Centre reported that YJA Star guerrillas hit the invading Turkish troops "effectively" in the Avaşîn region, leaving three soldiers dead.

The Press Centre of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a written statement concerning the actions carried out by the guerrillas and the Turkish attacks in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The statement said that the YJA Star guerrillas destroyed two military positions and killed three Turkish soldiers.

“As part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign in the Avaşîn region;

On April 13 at 18:13, the Turkish troops in Girê Martyr Dilgêş were shot by our YJA Star forces with heavy weapons.  Two military positions and one surveillance camera system were destroyed, and three soldiers were killed.

On April 13 and 14, the Girê Cûdî and Girê FM areas in the Zap region were bombed by Turkish fighter jets and howitzers fired from Turkish outposts on the border line.

– On April 14, between 16:00 and 22:30, Turkish helicopter activity was reported in the Werxelê and Şehitlik areas in the Avaşîn region. During the same hours, the Werxêlê area was bombed 3 times by Turkish fighter jets and howitzers fired from Turkish outposts on the border line.

– On April 14, between 14:05 and 21:40, the areas of Karker, Cehennem, Şikefta Birîndara, Kurojahro, Şehîd Şahin and Şehîd Rustem in the Zap region were bombed 23 times by Turkish fighter jets. On the same day, at 21:30, the Kunishka area in ​​the Zap region was bombed 3 times by Turkish fighter jets.”
