Turkey admits the transport of masses to occupied Girê Spî

Turkish governor stated that many people were transported in transit through the Karkamış district of Antep on April 20th.

The Turkish state has admitted the transport of people to the Turkish-occupied Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) city in northern Syria.

The Governorate of Antep claimed that the people transported in the convoy in question were people from Girê Spî who were living in Jarablus.

The governor’s office argued that these people were transported in transit through the Karkamış district of Antep, with 137 vehicles and 14 buses at 15:30 on April 20th. The statement did not mention how many people were brought to the Turkish-occupied zone.

The statement of Antep governor’s office came after media reports that approximately 600 mercenary families have been taken to Girê Spî on a convoy of at least 150 vehicles. Images from the region also proved the reports of the local sources. Reports suggest that the people transferred to the region are families of mercenaries whom the Turkish state had previously brought in from East Ghouta, Homs and Idlib.

On the other hand, sources in Jarablus state that the 'Jarablus Local Council' affiliated with the Turkish state continues to record the names of families to be sent to Girê Spî.
