Kurdish Women Parliamentarians Conference continues with workshops

The two-day conference organized by the Free Women's Movement is attended by several Kurdish women parliamentarians from Kurdistan, the Middle East, and Europe.

The Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) is holding the “1st Kurdish Women Parliamentarians Conference” under the slogan “Let's democratize politics, let's build a democratic society” at the Çand Congress Center in Amed (tr:Diyarbakır).

The two-day conference, which started on Wednesday, sees the participation of several Kurdish women parliamentarians from Kurdistan, the Middle East, and Europe.

The second day of the conference continues with workshops under four titles:

Sakine Cansız & Zoom Workshop: Organizing Challenges and Solution Proposals for Women Parliamentarians in Advancing Democratic Politics Against Male-Dominated Politics

Leyla Qasim Workshop: The Role of Women Parliamentarians and Policy Proposals on National Unity

Hevrîn Xelef Workshop: Collective Struggle Against Violence and Discrimination in the Defense of Women

Mîna Qazî Workshop: The Contribution of Women’s Political Representation Within Plural Cultures to Social Peace and the Democratization of Politics

The conference is expected to conclude with a final declaration based on the recommendations emerging from the workshops.
