Tuncer Bakırhan, co-chair of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), responded to journalists' questions following the PKK’s announcement.
Bakırhan said: "Let this congress be beneficial for Turkey. There is no longer any excuse not to solve the Kurdish question and build a democratic Turkey. I hope we can crown this process with peace."
