SDF Special Units arrest Iraqi ISIS terrorist trying to cross into Turkey

The Syrian Democratic Forces Special Units arrested an Iraqi terrorist affiliated with the Islamic State at a checkpoint in the city of Raqqa. He was trying to cross into Turkey.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Special Units said in a statement they arrested an Iraqi terrorist affiliated with the Islamic State at a checkpoint in the city of Raqqa.

According to the SDF, the terrorist was trying to cross into Turkey with the help of local ISIS collaborators.

The SDF said: “According to the terrorist’s confessions, he got injured when his car hit a landmine on Assaria-Khanaser road in the Badia (desert) of Raqqa. He said he used to move between the Wadi al-Miah, Damascus, al-Sokhna desert, Palmyra desert, and Aleppo countryside.”

The statement added: “Terrorist Abdullah Abdul Karim Abdullah joined the Islamic State in 2017 and underwent military training before going to the Salah al-Din area, in Iraq, where he stayed for four months. He then returned to al-Shamia and retreated to the Syrian desert after ISIS was expelled from al-Shamia.
According to his confessions, he was meant to be cured in Urfa or Gaziantep, Turkey, where there are designated motels in Turkey for treating the ISIS elements.”
