17 paintings by students depict women’s struggle against violence
The paintings are exhibited in Shehba where the displaced people of Afrin have lived since the occupation of their home by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries in March 2018.
Primary and secondary school students from Afrin have opened a painting exhibition in Shehba on occasion of March 9, International Women’s Day of Struggle.
In 17 paintings exhibited here, the students depict the women’s struggle against violence.
One of the students, Heyfa Haşim, said; “We decided to open this exhibition on occasion of March 8. In our paintings we give the message that women’s fight against violence continues.”
