Five Turkish-backed mercenaries killed during foiled infiltration attempt in Tal Abyad countryside

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to target the areas of north and eastern Syria with various heavy weapons, aiming to instill fear and terror among the population, forcing them into displacement.

On Monday evening, the Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries attempted to infiltrate the village of Abdoka in the western countryside of the occupied city of Tal Abyad. The vigilance and attentiveness of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) successfully thwarted this attempt.

The SDF fighters had prepared a tight ambush, clashing with the mercenaries, resulting in the elimination of five mercenaries and the injury of four others. The clashes continued for a period, ultimately forcing the mercenaries to flee.

Following the foiled infiltration, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries intensively shelled the village with over 150 shells of heavy artillery and mortar fire, causing significant material damage to civilians’ properties.
