SDF announces death of one of its brigade commanders in Qereqozak resistance

The SDF announced that one of its brigade commanders, Ezîz Ereb, was martyred in the Qereqozak resistance.

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that Martyr Şervan Brigade Commander Ezîz Ereb fell as a martyr in the resistance against the occupation attacks carried out by the Turkish state and its gangs on the Qereqozak Bridge in the south of Kobanê.

The statement said that the Turkish state gangs tried to cross the Euphrates River a few days ago in order to occupy the Qereqozak Bridge and the Tishreen Dam, and added that the SDF fighters, especially those of the Manbij Military Council, responded to these attacks of the enemy with heroic resistance.

Commander Ezîz Ereb fell as a martyr while resisting the Turkish state gangs until the last moment. Commander Ereb came from a patriotic family from Manbij, and joined the YPG in 2013. He received military, ideological and political training, and took part in the 2014 Kobanê resistance and many operations against ISIS. The statement said that Ezîz Ereb took part in the operation to liberate Girê Spî and played an active role in the liberation of the city of Manbij and its rural areas in 2016. In the past weeks, Ezîz Ereb also took part in the defense operation carried out to protect the Qereqozak Bridge from gang attacks.

The SDF expressed its condolences to the family of martyr Ezîz Ereb as well as to the families of all martyrs.
