The Press Liaison Centre of the HPG (People’s Defense Forces) released the balance sheet of the war in Kurdistan for the month of March.

The HPG balance sheet includes the following:

"The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla welcomed the month of March and the resurrection festival Newroz with great enthusiasm and the spirit of resistance of the Contemporary Kawa, Mazlum Doğan. In March, our guerrilla forces gave the necessary response to all kinds of attacks conducted by the colonialist genocidal Turkish state from the air and land and increased its resistance. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which continues its struggle with the Apoist sacrificial spirit everywhere from the provinces of Northern Kurdistan to the Medya Defence Zones, made important breakthroughs in March 2024.

On 19 March, a heavy blow was dealt to the invaders by the Şehîd Ciwan-Şehîd Andok Revolutionary Operation in Girê Amediyê Resistance Area of Zap. Our forces, who welcomed the Newroz Festival with a very meaningful revolutionary operation, celebrated Newroz with great enthusiasm and held military ceremonies. With these ceremonies, our guerrillas, on the one hand, celebrated the resurrection festival, on the other hand, reiterated their loyalty to Rêber Apo (Leader Abdullah Öcalan) and our beloved martyrs, who granted us these days, and expressed their readiness for the new year's struggle in all respects.

Kurdistan People's Defence Forces gave a great good news to the patriotic Kurdish people and their friends at the Freedom Newroz. It declared that reached the ability to shoot down the killing machines, also called SİHA, used by the colonialist genocidal Turkish state and the forces behind it against our people and our movement. The balance sheet of the actions in which the Turkish state’s UCAVs were shot down starting from 13 February 2023 was announced this Newroz. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla has taken our freedom struggle against colonialism to a new stage by shooting down a total of 15 of all types of Akıncı, Aksungur, Anka and Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs, the most advanced UCAVs in the hands of the Turkish Republic, and seizing their wrecks. This move of the guerrilla, which strengthened the defence and struggle of the Kurdish people, was greeted with great enthusiasm and joy among our patriotic people and spread to all Newroz areas.

The level of professionalism reached by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla from the air and land has once again proved that the genocide policy of the fascist AKP-MHP regime and its insistence on war will not yield any results, and has further increased our people's hope for freedom and belief in victory.

One revolutionary operation and 14 guerrilla actions were carried out during the month of March, when, also, our comrades Ekîn Rodî and Canşêr Şêrawa, who marched on the enemy with the Apoist sacrificial spirit, fell as martyrs. The Turkish special war media again concealed the losses suffered by the invading Turkish army and tried to mislead the public opinion with false news. As we have done so far, the lies of the Turkish special war media will be exposed with the concrete information, documents and images we will disclose, and the truth of the war in Kurdistan will be shared with the whole public."
