The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) issued a statement on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution which began on 19 July 2012.

"We extend our congratulations to all the people of our nation, remembering all the martyrs of our people’s revolution and the revolution of freedom. We reaffirm our full commitment to the path of July 19 and its blessed principles, renewing our vow to follow in the footsteps of our martyrs until their aspirations are fulfilled, DAANES said.

The statement continued: “We reiterate that our people, through the unity of its components and their free revolution, will achieve the building of a democratic Syria, reclaim its occupied territories, and ensure a dignified return for our displaced people. Through unity around their revolution, our people will defeat terrorism and all projects of liquidation and extermination, moving forward to develop a historical model that embodies true popular democracy, securing the identity and belonging of all components without any infringement. The future will be promising and prosperous with the strength of our people's unity and the spirit of their democratic revolution, the revolution of dignity, the July 19 Revolution.”

In conclusion, DAANES called on all Syrian national forces to “unite with the efforts of our people to combine our energies towards a decentralized, democratic Syria.”
