The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement confirming the dismantlement of an ISIS cell in the town of Dernic in Deir ez-Zor and the capture of its leader.

The statement said: "Our SDF’s Hajin Military Council captured the leader of an ISIS terrorist cell in the town of Darnach, Deir ez-Zor’s eastern countryside, following a clash that resulted in his injury and capture. During the confrontation, one of our fighters was martyred, and two others were wounded."

The statement added: "In the town of Abriha, ISIS terrorist cells attempted to attack a security checkpoint using motorcycles and machine guns. Our fighters confronted the attackers and successfully repelled the attack, injuring one terrorist and forcing the others to withdraw. Following the incident, a combing operation was launched to ensure security and stability in the area."
