  The international highway between Cizire and Aleppo has been taken under control by YPG/YPJ forces following fierce clashes between ISIS gangs and the resistance forces in the area around the highway 35 km west of Til Temir.
• Solidarity dinner for Kobanê in Sassuola 

  Solidarity actions with Kobanê continue in Europe. A solidarity dinner was organised in the Sassuolo district of Modena in Italy yesterday, with the participation of around 100 Kurdish and Italian people.

• Swedish Left Party: The HDP must exceed the threshold 

  Swedish Left Party Foreign Affairs spokesperson Hans Linde said the ten per cent election threshold in Turkey was introduced to prevent Kurds and socialists entering parliament, adding that he hoped the HDP would exceed the threshold.

  A family in the Sason district of Batman province wanted to register the name of its newly-born daughter as “Helqîs”, but the registrar refused to allow the name because it contained the letter ‘Q’, which does not exist in Turkish.
