• Soldiers open fire on civilians, three wounded 

  Three civilians were wounded after Turkish soldiers opened fire on local people in Yemişli village at the border in Uludere district of Şırnak.
• PACE sending 60 members to monitor 7 June elections 

  The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is to send 60 parliamentarians to monitor the 7 June elections in Turkey and North Kurdistan.
• Jailed peace envoy Aysel Doğan seriously ill 

  Aysel Doğan, who had come to Turkey from Europe as a member of the Peace Group on the call of the Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan in 1999, and who later was arrested in the scope of KCK operations, has been taken to hospital with a serious illness.
• YPG: 3 more villages liberated 

  YPG Press Centre said that the Kobanê resistance against the occupation attempt of ISIS gangs continued on the 217th day.
• Support for HDP across Europe growing 

  The support for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in the upcoming elections to be held on 7 June in Turkey and North Kurdistan is growing in Europe as well as in Turkey as the election campaign of the party gains momentum.
• Hunger strike in Midyat against 1915 Sayfo genocide 

  A hunger strike will be staged in Midyat district of Mardin to protest the centenary of 1915 Syriac (Sayfo) genocide the Ottomans started against Syriacs and Armenians in Van, Bitlis and surrounding areas, then Diyarbakır, Hakkari and Tur Abdin.
• Political prisoner in Balıkesir on hunger strike 

  Political inmate İnan Şimşek in Burhaniye Prison in the western province of Balıkesir has been on hunger strike for the last 10 days.
• HDP flags burnt by fascists 

  HDP party flags draped on two party offices in Istanbul have been burnt by fascists. The HDP offices in Güngören and Kadıköy districts were attacked in the early hours of the morning.
• Racist provocations against HDP continue 

  Attacks on HDP election offices are continuing. State supported fascist groups attacked HDP offices in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay and the Fındıklı district of Rize after the attack in Antalya and the gun attack on the HDP HQ in Ankara.
• ‘HDP's exceeding the threshold will open a new era in Turkey’ 

  In Strasbourg yesterday Evrensel newspaper writer İhsan Çaralan spoke at a meeting on ‘democracy, secularism and Islamophobia’, saying that if the HDP exceeded the electoral threshold a new era would open up.
• Teachers in East Kurdistan take to streets for their rights 

  Teachers have taken to the streets in many cities of East Kurdistan demanding an end to all kinds of discrimination and a decent salary.
• Syriacs to protest 1914-1915 genocide for the first time 

  Syriacs living in the Midyat district of Mardin province are preparing a rally on 24 April in protest at the genocide perpetrated in 1914-1915. They will for the first time protest the genocide that they suffered alongside the Armenians.
• Demirtaş: These attacks will never intimidate us 

  Speaking yesterday in Zurich, HDP Co-president Selahattin Demirtaş told ANF that such attacks as the one on the party’s HQ in Ankara the previous day would never intimidate the party.
• Rojava panel in Erzincan 

  The Erzincan branch of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) organised a panel on the ‘Rojava Revolution’ yesterday. Arzu Demir, a reporter and editor with ANF, said: “The revolution has first of all changed the lives of women.”

• PEN Vice President calls for removal of PKK from terrorist list 

  Lucina Kathmann, an International Vice-President of PEN International, has written a letter to U.S. President, Secretary of State and United States Congresspeople urging the removal of the PKK from the list of 'Foreign Terrorist Organizations'.
• Önder: Government set the stage for the attack 

  HDP MP and İmralı Delegation Spokesman Sırrı Süreyya Önder commented the attack on HDP headquarters in Ankara as a follow-up of the Ağrı provocation, saying it was the government that set the stage for the attack.
• HDP: They will not be able to halt us 

  HDP warned the government, saying that; “Those who suppose they will halt and intimidate us by means of such provocations will see that they are are wrong.”

• YDG-H clash with police in Yüksekova 

  Activists of the Movement of Patriotic and Revolutionary Youth (YDG-H) in Yüksekova district of Hakkari clashed with police who attempted to blockade neighborhoods as of evening yesterday.
• Armed attack targets HDP headquarters in Ankara 

  Unknown assailants opened fire on the HDP headquarters in Büklüm Sokak in Ankara's Çankaya district with pump rifles after coming to the scene in a car at around 4 am at night.
• Buldan: Resolution process too important to sacrifice to elections 

  HDP İmralı delegation member Pervin Buldan has visited the tent of condolence for the HPG guerrilla Serhat Kızılay ( Canfeda Serhat) who lost his life in the clashes during the Tendürek provocation in Ağrı province on 11 April.
• Bomb attack in mainly Christian neighborhood in Hewler 

  A bomb attack has been carried out in the mainly Christian neighborhood of Ainkawa, which also houses the U.S. Consulate, in Hewler city of South Kurdistan.
• Paris murders; intelligence reports censored 

  Families of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez, who were murdered in Paris on 9 January 2013, complained that French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has not kept his promise to shed light on the killings
• FARC: Not an attack, legitimate defence 

  Farc has issued a statement after an attack in Cauca left 11 Colombian soldiers dead and shook the peace process, saying the incident was not an attack, but guerrilla units defending themselves.
